"Apart?.That's the last thing I would consider us to be. Yes we are the different poles but there is no way we are apart.Who says people with same preferences should be together. It's the person that counts. It's how good I feel in your presence or rather how crappy I feel in your absence. What's the fun if you and I agree on everything. Where would the variety come from ? What will we do agreeing on every single thing ? where would our conversations go ? How will we argue? How will we fight? How will we make up after those fights?
The differences is what makes it exciting. Its the person that you are that I am in love with. The person who loves five star, the one who thinks stuffed toys are the best thing ever invented by man after the wheel, the one who loves insensible tiny little things , torch bearer of mushy romantic films which if I may add no guy will ever do,hates logic in any and everything,cannot figure left from right,gets lost at every given opportunity, has a thought process that is diametrically opposite to mine, that is the person I am in love with.Do you know why?
Because of all the differences. THese make you the person that you are. I would never want to change anything about you.Cause then you would not be the person I fell crazy in love with. I treasure the differences.It's defines the person I am in love with.
(Her smile lit up the house) "chalk and cheese then, right?"
"Yup, And I cant get enough of the cheese, you know!!"
(pushing him away)"You know there is a great shah rukh movie going on..."
"oh no...."

p.s : Though I think its painfully evident which the guy is and which the girl is.Just in case it alternates between guy and the girl,starting with the girl.

Very nice blog [I am sorry if i agree as usual :)] Its a known fact that opposites attract. But the narration style you adopted was the stand out thing in this blog.
I am surprised though that you chose the guy to reply to the question of " how will we work out?". And the girl asking the question.
As one of your friends mentioned above it was also cute.
Don't mind but could see a lot of you in the girl.
A good thought provoking lively conversation (and thank god it is not about darkness or stars:P), with a really nice screenplay. A little more sound reasoning from the guy could have helped me appreciate it better. But do plz write more of such stuff than abstract ones....

I read somewhere, everyone is looking for someone with enough contrasting characters that they are interested in them, but not so many that that they are driven away. Also they look for similarities that bind them together, but not so many similarities that they get bored of the other person.
Variety is the spice of life, there is no two ways about it. If that was the only spice in life, why does man search for familiar things, for things he knows are, for lack of other words, well known???
Your posts keep me coming back for more, for no other reason than what you write is so different from what I do.

heh heh heh.. good dialogues.. good prespective.. but it just has one annoying aspect.. its a romantic mushy-mushy kind of post.. I did enjoy your narration and your style but arent they showing enough of these dialogs in movies?? maybe they show them too much and thats why I cant really get to like it as much as I like your other posts..

I think best matches dont just happen by being poles apart.
i personally think best matches happen when both share lots of "common interests".Common interests gets both to talk,talk,talk and talking leads to be better understanding.
Often ppl say Opposites Attract,magnetic theories just dont work always

Well I think I will start off with the P.S.. that was well put :)… Maaan I think every guy and girl can imagine having this conversation.. it was just awesome buddy… :).. I am sure anyone ANYONE will be able to relate to this huh.. the chocs , the toys and ofcourse te movies.. I can imagine one going for an action movie and the other for a Katran Johar Romance :d.. the poles aparet thingy was really brought about well da.. on everything.. somehow personally I always feel that people got to be similar and there would still be variety… the pole apart some times results in being apart.. I mean we talk about books to a person who would love to read them.. about movies to a person who enjoys the same thing…. If you find that, I don't think it really matters if you like the same movies, books or films cause once all the initial euphoria of being in a relationship wears out, its all about good company, and by that time,you become that person in part, and have figured out things that you actually enjoy doing in each other's company.But yeah i cant totally disregard what you said.
